The ‘singular sensation’ that has once again taken Broadway by
storm comes to the SouthCoast on August 23-26, 2007, when
New Bedford YouthREP presents a powerhouse production of
A
Chorus Line
.

Shows are at 7:30pm on August 23-25; and at 2pm on August
26. General admission tickets are $15 for all ages. Special rates
are available for groups of ten or more.

A Chorus Line is a stunning musical-verite about a chorus
audition for a Broadway musical. It tells of the achingly poignant
ambitions of professional Broadway gypsies to land a job in the
show, and is a powerful metaphor for the singular human
aspiration to succeed. Memorable musical numbers include 'I Can
Do That,' 'At the Ballet,' 'Dance: Ten; Looks:Three,' 'The Music
and the Mirror,' 'What I Did for Love,' 'One (Singular Sensation)'
and 'I Hope I Get It.' This brilliantly complex fusion of dance,
song and compellingly authentic drama was instantly recognized
as a classic and received the 1976 Pulitzer Prize for Drama as well
as nine Tony Awards.

A Chorus Line is directed by Jarrad Nunes, with choreography by
Loralee Levesque and musical direction by Pauline Brazil DeBalsi.
A multitalented cast of twenty-four New Bedford-area youth ages
15-25 headlines the production.

All performances will be held at the Keith Middle School
Auditorium, located at 225 Hathaway Boulevard in New Bedford.
The theatre has ample parking and is fully accessible for
handicapped guests. Please be advised that
A Chorus Line
features adult language and themes--parental discretion is
strongly advised.
