Jarrad Nunes
Founder/Artistic Director

Jarrad Nunes has over fifteen years' experience as a performer,
director, and theatre educator. Jarrad serves as co-advisor to the
New Bedford High School Drama Club, where he has directed
successful productions of The Wizard of Oz, Annie and Charlie and
the Chocolate Factory. Jarrad is the Arts Events Coordinator at
UMass Dartmouth and the faculty advisor to the UMass Dartmouth
Theatre Company, where he has directed productions of Agatha
Christie's The Mousetrap, The Marriage of Bette and Boo, and The
Diary of Anne Frank. Most recently, Jarrad directed acclaimed
productions of A Chorus Line (for YouthREP) and The Laramie Project
(for the UMass Dartmouth Theatre Company). Favorite onstage
roles include Charlie Brown in You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown,
Zach in A Chorus Line, John Merrick in The Elephant Man, Algernon
Moncrieff in The Importance of Being Earnest, The Master of
Ceremonies in Cabaret, and Bobby in Company. Jarrad is a 2004
graduate of UMass Dartmouth, where he received a degree in
Film/Drama Studies. A lifelong New Bedford resident, Jarrad serves
as a member of the Board of Trustees for the New Bedford Art
Museum. Jarrad also serves as host of Ampers&and, an arts and
culture program produced for Dartmouth Cable Television. Next up:
Jarrad will direct productions of Disney's High School Musical and How
to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying at New Bedford High
School.
Robert Long
Technical Director

Robert Long has more than twenty years of experience in both the
performing arts and technical theater. Bob has lent his expertise to
many theater groups including the New Bedford High School Drama
Club, Whaling City Summer Theater Company, Spouters Theater
Company, and his own recent endeavor, SouthCoast Children's
Theatre. Bob has also worked professionally for the Zeiterion
Theatre, The Garde Theatre for the Performing Arts, and the IATSE
Union in Boston. He has worked as a stagehand, master electrician,
lead carpenter and stage manager. After designing and constructing
the sets for The Wizard of Oz, Swing! and Annie, Bob has been
invited to join the artistic team of the New Bedford High School
Drama Club. Bob attended Bridgewater State College and studied
communications and theater arts. Bob has been involved with New
Bedford YouthREP since its founding in 2006, and looks forward to
many successful productions in the future.
